About Us

House of Light is a blog produced and managed by Casa de la Luz Hospice staff. We discuss end of life care planning, hospice care, and dealing with grief and loss. We hope to advance public knowledge about these issues as well as add to the discussion about end of life care in the United States.

Casa de la Luz Hospice was founded in 1998 and is a locally owned and operated hospice in Tucson, Arizona. Our mission is to provide superior care to patients and their loved ones, so that they may complete their mission on this earth in comfort, dignity, and harmony.

Casa de la Luz Hospice provides care to terminally ill patients and their loved ones, offering medical, emotional, spiritual, and grief support. Hospice care is provided to patients in the place they call home, in our Inpatient Unit, and in our residential hospice home, Kanmar Place.

Hospice care is provided for through the Medicare Hospice Benefit.
